OMFG how good is Heroes? I mean... everyone said it was good but... Whoa. Because I need another show to get addicted to apparently. Actually the only show I'm addicted to at the moment is Supernatural. It's just seems like more because I haven't really got into anything since Buffy. Oh there was Arrested Development. How could I forget that? And Mighty Boosh. Firefly. Little Britain. All right so there have been a few shows here and there. But I usually just watched the DVD boxsets (it's actually taken me a while to get used to ads again - man, they're painful).
Little Britain Live was absolutely hilarious last night. "Broadmeadows - it's a sh**hole." Shameless but who cares right? Des Kaye was probably my highlight - and the fact that Anthony Stewart Head was there! Judging from the huge surprised cheer from the rest in the crowd I obviously wasn't the only the one not aware that we was even in the country. What a clunky sentence. I should give it another go.
Best sketches: Mr Man and Roy, Carol Beer, Des Kaye (yes I will repeat myself, thank you), Sebastian and the Prime Minister, Anne, the return of Ray McCooney... I don't know - it was all brilliant! And I'm seeing it all again tomorrow night!
I'm going to bed. I was just waiting for my washing to finish. Again.

Getting paid tomorrow. Hopefully anyway. Our pay can be a bit unreliable.
I’ve had an urge to re-watch The Royal Tenenbaums lately. But I’ve lent the DVD to Suzie. The itch will probably go away before I get it back. Love Owen Wilson in that movie. Funny but sad. And Ben Stiller. He was cool too. Actually everyone was pretty good in that movie. It’s just that kind of movie. And the soundtrack… I have definitely got to watch that movie again.
Eli: I wish you'd've done this for me when I was a kid.
Richie: But you didn't have a drug problem then.
Eli: Yeah, but it still would've meant a lot to me.
I’m also going to start watching Carnivale. I never had a chance to watch it before. But I’ve got the DVDs on order from Quickflix so I might start watching those on the weekend. Sounds like a plan.
Pan’s Labyrinth last Thursday. It was a good movie – a really good movie. Kind of like a (really) dark fairytale. The ending gave me a painful lump in my throat. I managed to save myself the embarrassment of crying in the middle of the cinema. However I will warn you that there are some extremely graphic scenes. I had to look away from the screen around four or five times. So if you’re not too squeamish I really recommend seeing it.
It was Mum’s birthday on Australia Day so we had a barbeque at my parents’ place. Everyone was there which is good because there have been a few dramas with my family lately. I ate gross salad because nobody thought I would (and when I say gross, I mean Caesar salad, bourbon, margarine, Worcestshire sauce and all sorts of other things that should never ever be combined). We swore a lot. As is our wont.
I just wanted to use that phrase… “as is our wont”. It’s a cool phrase. We should use that more.
We also watched The Tick. Yet another DVD that I got from Quickflix. ‘Twas funny. Ooh and Zoolander. After talking about going to see it with Stevie at Moonlight Cinemas we all wanted to see it again (even though I’d only seen it two days before).
Work is driving me slowly and steadily insane. Some of these people… ::shakes head:: I won’t get into that. This entry is long enough as it is.

I'm poor and sick at the moment so I've been stuck inside watching DVDs that Quickflix sent me. Saw Citizen Kane. And Bladerunner. Both pretty cool movies. I also watched two episodes of the A-Team season 2 but that wasn't so much cool as it was really really lame. For some reason the disc had a 'bonus' episode of Nightrider. Maybe they included it so that when the viewer compared the two shows the A-Team looked well written and well acted. It's not. But next to Nightrider...
Not that I watched Nightrider. I wasn't that f***ing desperate.
Speaking of Quickflix I joined up before I realised that I could get a cheaper subscription with Bigpond (what with me already paying them for my Internet). But I think Quickflix has got a better range of DVDs. Who the hell cares anyway? I'm tired and want to go to bed... But I also need to wait for my washing machine to stop. So I'll babble on a little more.
Watched Supernatural tonight. 'Twas good. Mum sent me an email saying something along the lines of "Supernatural is a rip off of the X-Files". She's only seen 2 episodes. And she only said that because I recommended the show. We're both equally petty that way. I sent back a reply with a huge essay on the differences between the two shows. And I wonder why I don't get any work done.

I'm going to make a serious effort to update this thing more often. I like looking back and going "WTF? I used to be into what?" So now, even if I've got nothing to say, I'm going to write something every once in a while. It's not like I've had anything interesting at all to talk about in the past four years of having this thing anyway.
Since I last graced LiveJournal with my presence a lot has changed. I'm living in the city now. I work in a hospital... I'm still in payroll though. Little Ella is now a year old. I turned 21 in May. And I've started watching Supernatural and Numb3rs! Oh and the new eps of Doctor Who (the ones with David Tennant). I saw Coldplay with PJ, and Robbie Williams with Kuk. I went to the last performance by Lano & Woodley in November which was extremely funny and sad at the same time.
And heaps more stuff that I won't get into now...
Tomorrow I'm seeing Thank You For Smoking at the Moonlight Cinemas, next Wednesday me and Stevie are seeing Zoolander ("Moisture is the essence of wetness") and at the end of the month we're all gonna go see Little Britain Live.
I am now contemplating having a Mango and Cream Bar. Just in case you were wondering.
Oooh! I just remembered one more thing that's happened since April - I gave up Coke. Yes I realise it's not exactly like kicking cigerettes or heroin but I'm still impressed with myself!
NB: Please refer to the beginning of this entry. Regardless of how entertaining a post (or not, in this case) I will update this bloody thing!

I saw Dylan Moran on Saturday. Me and Ash were stood up by our own sister (!) so we missed the first five minutes but still - brilliant!
Some tosser at the end yelled out "Talk about Black Books". Dylan responded in a not too surprising manner: "No".
This Friday it will be Tripod, on the 5th it will be some improv thing and then on the 6th - the last ever Lano & Woodley performance!
And Coldplay in June or July (can't remember). But they're not comedy-related anyway, are they?
EDIT: The last Lano & Woodley performance will be in November, this is the last performance in the Melbourne Comedy Festival. Whatever.

21 years old in two weeks.
I've come to hate birthdays. It's not about age or anything but all my life I've gotten excited and it's always a big let down.
I know I put much more thought into their presents than they put into mine. For example, my present two years ago: a pirated copy of a Law and Order PC game. A whole $5 from Caribbean Gardens. I've never even been into Law and Order. I think I've watched two episodes my entire life.
Last year's was a new low. But I won't get into that.
Something cheery!

Have been looking over my journal. I seem a bit confused as to whether or not I like Egwene. I do. Maybe when I wrote that I disliked her I was reading one of her boring chapters. Probably.
How cool is Galad in the prologue? I actually liked the Whitecloaks in this scene! The world has shifted upon it's axis. Soon I'll be swearing that Elaida is my favourite character...
I've been reading WoT Book 11. So good. Best one yet.

I think I'd be Brown Ajah. Or Yellow if I had the Talent for Healing. But White is starting to grow on me a little. I like the weird Ajahs... Everyone else likes Blue or Green...

I cross-stitched last night. Haven't done that since I was knee high to a grasshopper. A very large grasshopper but a grasshopper nonetheless. It was good.
I also watched the M*A*S*H 30th anniversary special. And a really crap yet at the same time hypnotic film called Ordinary People. It had Donald Sutherland and Mary Tyler Moore in it.
I kept switching to the ARIAs but kept switching back because I was embarrassed to watch it. I've never been able to watch the ARIAs. They've always managed to make me gag.
Mum finished Wheel of Time Book 11 today. I is jealous. I'm still rereading at the moment, only just now finishing Book 6.
Saw THE HIVES on Wednesday. They were awesome! I drank too much. JB made out with miniature Simon Baker. Then she was talking to Smilie on the train ride home about bestiality. It was a bit weird. I tuned out and watched Cartoon Network on my phone. My phone is da bomb.
There was much pain on Thursday. Much pain.
Ella is so cute. And as alien-freaky-looking as she used to.
Aes Sedai suck. There are some exceptions to the rule. But even then, there's something vaguely sucky about those exceptions as well. The number of female channelers that I actually like can be counted upon one hand.
I like Nynaeve (when she's not pissing me off) and Aviendha. I dislike Egwene and I hate Elayne. Moiraine I liked but only when she started to realise she couldn't manipulate Rand. And Tuon can learn to channel but I haven't decided whether or not I like her yet. Not much to go on so far.
I also hate Min. She can't channel but I don't discriminate. I'm an equal opportunity disliker.
Faile has grown on me. I know. Ripples of shock.
Birgitte as always rocks. And so does Berelain.
Perrin still bores me. I liked him in Book 4 though.
I'm going now because I'm actually supposed to be working. Weird, I know.
